Awasikan Theatre
Artist Leah Fontaine describes her work with Awasikan Theatre, formerly located at the North West corner of Higgins and Main St, from around 1990/1991.
Otakosiik Tapwa’win is a project that is in recognition of the brilliance and dynamic histories of Indigenous peoples from Treaty 1 territory, the homeland of the Red River Métis, and the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabe, Ininiwak, and Dakota peoples.
Otakosiik Tapwa’win is a platform for sharing Indigenous art histories with audiences through an interactive online mapping tool.
